WHAT CAN WE DO OF HIM?

"Our enemies are innovative and resourceful, and so are we. They never stop thinking about new ways to harm our country and our people, and neither do we." —BUSH

I was taught never to make fun of anyone, but then everyone needs to break rules sometimes. George W Bush creates so much emotions around the world that no political leader in modern era has been able to match. But all things aside this man has given the people covering him so much to laugh that it is unbeliveble. He is the favourite punching bag of the likes of Jay Leno,David Letterman and why not .These are few of my favourite Bushisms

"I'm the decider, and I decide what is best. And what's best is for Don Rumsfeld to remain as the Secretary of Defense."

"I trust God speaks through me. Without that, I couldn't do my job."

"I just want you to know that, when we talk about war, we're really talking about peace."

"I trust God speaks through me. Without that, I couldn't do my job."

"I just want you to know that, when we talk about war, we're really talking about peace."

"The most important thing is for us to find Osama bin Laden. It is our number one priority and we will not rest until we find him."
Washington, D.C., Sept. 13, 2001

—"I don't know where bin Laden is. I have no idea and really don't care. It's not that important. It's not our priority." Washington, D.C., March 13, 2002

"I promise you I will listen to what has been said here, even though I wasn't here." —at the President's Economic Forum in Waco, Texas, Aug. 13, 2002

"Who could have possibly envisioned an erection — an election in Iraq at this point in history?" —George W. Bush, at the white House, Washington, D.C., Jan. 10, 2005

"It's in our country's interests to find those who would do harm to us and get them out of harm's way." —George W. Bush, Washington, D.C., April 28, 2005

'Families is where our nation finds hope, where wings take dream.'

'They misunderestimated me.'

I strongly believe what we're doing is the right thing. If I didn't believe it — I'm going to repeat what I said before — I'd pull the troops out, nor if I believed we could win, I would pull the troops out." —George

"Remember last week when Jessica Simpson declined to meet President Bush? She now says they have plans to sit down together and talk face-to-face. President Bush talking to Jessica Simpson? That should be a real no-brainer." --Jay Leno

FOUR YEARS OF HIGHS HANGOVER FOR LIFE

Memory is a way of holding onto the things you love, the things you are, the things you never want to lose.

These words echo in my mind when the realization that my college life is about to end has dawned on me. The batch of 2K2EC as we all will be remembered is about to say goodbye to the college and go in their own separate direction with each one of us filled with hope and lots of dreams but I know somewhere deep everyone in hurting . There is a sense of loss which we all can feel , a loss of going away from the college we all love, a loss of going away from the friends we made, a loss of the wonderful memories we all have.
From day one life has been an adventure. Coming bit nervous in the first semester with the fear of being raged, doing wiered things in the workshop, then those grilling viva's which we were scared off, and how to forget those amazing ED classes in which how much you think you have made a great sheet, the teacher always thought otherwise. And then those exams and the endless wait for the results.
Then came year two you start feeling as if you belong , new friendships have blossomed by now and you start enjoying the real college life. Those hours in the canteen , bunking classes , and again those viva's but now that fear is gone coz now u know how much you prepare you will never be able to answer most things , then why bother. Then those exams before which you start your mission of collecting notes and you have to make a lot of trips to the girls hostel for that.
By now the life is at it's best no worries, those wonderful time in the hostel, going out with friends, having loads of fun in the class and those really bad jokes which never made you laugh but then those are the memories strange and precious.
And then came the final step those placements after which there was always so much partying , so much joy and some times so much pain. But then this is what we all came for and got so much more , such wonderful friends such amazing moments . We all the batch of 2K2EC have in one way or other given each other such memories that it will always bring smile to each and everyone of our face in times to come . I never say goodbye to anyone but just wana ask

Why does it take a minute to say hello and forever to say goodbye?

These are my most treasured memories and as a friend of mine says FOUR YEARS OF HIGHS HANGOVER FOR LIFE.

NOTE: Special thanks to the person who captured this amazing moment and to my friend who let me use his lines as my title.

BLACK OR RANG DE BASANTI

Movies hardly have ever captured my imagination, but in recent times I have seen movies which have touched my soul. And none more than BLACK & RANG DE BASANTI. Two absolute masterpieces in everyright. One a passion and a dream of a girl whose world is black and other an awakening for the youth of INDIA. But what does these movies depict a mindset or much more. This is my observation of what I thought of the two movies. Black a movie so dark with so much pain, a story which touches your heart yet there is so much light so much hope if you look deep. A story of triumph over all odds, a struggle to do what you once dreamt off. The most striking feature about BLACK is no where in the movie you feel this sense of hope, but when you sit alone and think of what you saw you will feel this light in your heart. It makes you a believer, a believer that nothing is impossible. There is so much passion in the girl that it makes you sit up and take notice. But what about RANG DE BASANTI, movie which makes you laugh and cry and more importantly makes you think. A movie with a message to stand up and fight for what you feel is right. So much hope so much life. But is it really the case, I don't think so. I feel the movie depicts a defeatist mindset that nothing can be done unless you pick up the gun. Is this the hope or the national awaking we want the youth of INDIA. Killing an individual is a desperate step not revolutionary, and people who feels this depicts a sense of victory, I tend to disagree. It's an amazing movie no doubt about it, but if I have to give a message my message would be BLACK not RANG DE BASANTI.

MY COUNTRY OH...COUNTRY

Have ever in your life you come across a moment when you feel you are not wanted or as if you don't exist.I'll be honest i had this feeling for the first time in my life of not being wanted and its not by my loved ones, its my country.I always had this belief that no country is perfect you just have to work for it,but recent moves of the government to go ahead with almost 50% reservations in the premier institues like the IIT'S,IIM'S have shaken my thought process completely.WHERE ARE WE HEADING TOWARDS? And the answer gives me gitters. In an era where the world is hailing the arrival of new India, with its force of talanted young minds, our own people are building walls just to satisfy their own narrow motives of vote bank politics. And what hurts me even more is not even a single voice from any political leader challenging this disatarous moves.Have these politicians ever been to an IIT...do they really know what it takes to survive in these institutes. Even the best finds it difficult. But then this move was never well thought of ,like most in our democratic system.
Today i am reminded of a quote and to my own surprise it a quote of our own independence struggle. "WHEN THIEVES ENTER YOUR HOMES AND YOU ARE UNABLE TO DRIVE THEM OUT THEN SHUT THEM UP AND BURN THEM ALIVE".Yes we are literaly being burnt alive. In our own country we have become unwanted,a satyagrah has been launched by our political elite to throw us out of the main stream. We have become a target not because of what we do just because we belong to a family which cannot influence the out come of elections. No young mind should ever dream to be in IIT or IIM because he does not matter sorry his vote dosen't matter.I am not against giving oppurtunities to the needy but should it come at the cost of someone's dream. Now it's only dreams which are left and one must remember dreams don't come true.
